Terms of Service
Last updated 14 August 2026
The short version
- Plainhub is a modelling tool, not financial advice. Your decisions stay yours.
- You can cancel any time, yourself, from Settings. No calls, no forms.
- When you cancel, you keep full access until the end of the period you paid for.
- You own the data you enter, and you can export or delete it whenever you want.
1. Agreement
These terms are a contract between you and Plainhub. By creating an account or using the service you agree to them. If you use Plainhub on behalf of a company, you confirm you can bind that company, and "you" means the company. You must be at least 16 years old.
2. What Plainhub is (and is not)
Plainhub is a web app for founders. You record money events, and Plainhub builds a live financial model: runway, burn, revenue mix, cash projection, and an AI finance agent that recommends and simulates decisions.
Plainhub is a modelling tool. It is not a licensed accounting, tax, investment or financial advisory service, and it does not connect to your bank. The numbers reflect what you enter. Agent replies are generated automatically and can be wrong or incomplete. Decisions you make based on Plainhub, including hiring, spending and fundraising decisions, remain entirely your responsibility.
3. Your account and workspace
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure and for activity under your account. Tell us right away at support (at) plainhub.app if you suspect unauthorized access.
If you invite teammates, you choose what they can see and whether they can edit. Invited members act under your workspace; you are responsible for who you share your invite link with, and you can reset the link or remove members at any time. Pro includes the owner plus 2 team seats; Max includes unlimited seats for people genuinely working in your workspace. Seats may not be resold or pooled across unrelated organisations.
4. Subscriptions, billing and cancellation
Plans and prices. Plainhub Pro costs €29.99/month or €299/year. Plainhub Max costs €59.99/month or €599/year. Paying yearly saves about two months. Prices may not include VAT or sales tax: our payment processor, Lemon Squeezy, acts as merchant of record and calculates any tax at checkout based on your country. The charge on your card statement appears under Lemon Squeezy.
Renewal. Your subscription renews automatically, monthly or yearly depending on what you chose, until you cancel. Your next renewal date is always visible in your customer portal.
How to cancel. Open Settings, find the Subscription card, and press "Manage subscription". That opens your Lemon Squeezy customer portal, where you choose Cancel. That is the whole process: no calls, no emails, no forms. Cancelling stops all future charges. You keep full access until the end of the period you already paid for; after that, paid features stop and your data remains yours to export or delete, as described in the Privacy Policy.
Refunds. Partial billing periods are not automatically refunded when you cancel. If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you have a 14-day withdrawal right for digital services: by starting your subscription immediately you consent to immediate performance, and where the right still applies we refund the proportion of the service not yet provided. If you believe you were charged in error, for example a duplicate charge, write to support (at) plainhub.app and we will review and correct genuine billing errors.
Failed payments. If a renewal charge fails, Lemon Squeezy retries it and emails you. If payment cannot be collected, your subscription pauses or expires and paid features stop until payment resumes. Your data is not deleted because of a failed payment.
Changing plans. Upgrading from Pro to Max takes effect immediately, with the difference prorated by Lemon Squeezy. Downgrades and switches between monthly and yearly take effect at your next renewal.
Price changes. If we change prices, we will email you at least 30 days before the change affects your renewal. If you do not agree, cancel before the renewal date and your current price applies until your period ends.
5. The AI finance agent
The agent answers questions using the figures in your model. Its replies are generated automatically by a machine, are not reviewed by a human, and can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. They are context for your thinking, not accounting, tax, legal or investment advice, and no agent reply creates any commitment by us.
Do not paste content into the agent that you have no right to share. Agent usage is subject to the fair use rules in section 10.
6. Working with your team
Workspace owners control the invite link, the sections it opens, and each member's role. Viewers can read what you share; editors can also change it. Everything a member adds or changes, money events, tasks, comments, happens inside your workspace and under your responsibility as its owner.
If you join someone else's workspace, use what you see there only for working with that team. Leaving or being removed ends your access; it does not undo contributions you made while a member.
Presence (whether a member is online and when they were last seen) is visible to other members of the same workspace.
7. Your content, and data about other people
You own everything you enter into Plainhub: money events, customers, team records, plans, tasks and comments. You give us only the technical permission needed to host, process, display and back it up so the product works. You can export or delete it at any time, as described in the privacy policy.
Some of what you enter is information about other people: your team members' names and costs, your customers' names and payment expectations. You confirm you have the right to record that information, and for personal data your organisation remains the controller; we process it on your instructions to run your workspace.
Do not enter content that is unlawful, that infringes someone else's rights, or that you are bound to keep confidential from us.
8. The model, currencies and accuracy
Runway, burn, revenue and projections are arithmetic over the figures you entered, including estimates you gave during onboarding. If the inputs are wrong or incomplete, the outputs will be too. Projections are simple forward calculations, not predictions.
Choosing a currency changes how figures are displayed. Plainhub does not convert amounts between currencies and does not provide exchange rates; amounts you enter are stored as you typed them.
Tasks, due dates and notifications are organisational aids. We are not responsible for consequences of a missed deadline or notification.
9. Service availability, fair use and early access
We aim to keep Plainhub available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may pause the service occasionally for maintenance or updates, and we may improve or change features over time.
Compute-heavy features, including the AI finance agent, are subject to fair use. We may apply reasonable rate limits or throttle usage that is automated, abusive, or far outside normal founder use, to keep the service fast for everyone.
Features labelled as early access, beta or experimental are provided for evaluation: they may change, misbehave, or be withdrawn at any time and carry no availability commitment.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse Plainhub: no disrupting or probing the service, no reverse engineering except where the law allows it, no reselling access, no automated scraping, and no unlawful use.
11. Our service, your feedback
Plainhub, including its software, design and branding, belongs to us and our licensors; these terms give you a personal, non-exclusive right to use it while you have an account. If you send us feedback or ideas, you allow us to use them without obligation to you.
Our website may link to third-party sites and our emails may contain links; we are not responsible for third-party content. Articles and guides we publish are general information, not advice for your situation.
12. Communications
We send transactional messages that are part of the service, such as billing receipts (via our payment processor), security notices, and workspace notifications. We may occasionally send product updates; you can opt out of non-essential emails at any time via the link in the email or by writing to support.
13. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
Plainhub is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, lost profits, or lost data. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for intent or gross negligence, or affects consumers' mandatory statutory rights.
If your use of Plainhub in breach of these terms causes a third-party claim against us, you will compensate us for the reasonable costs and damages that result, except to the extent we caused them ourselves. This clause does not apply to consumers where the law does not allow it.
14. Termination
You can close your account at any time from Settings or by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms; termination for violation does not entitle you to a refund. Where reasonably possible we will tell you the reason. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as ownership, liability limits and governing law) survive termination.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as Plainhub evolves. For significant changes we will notify you by email or in the app before they take effect. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms; if you do not agree, stop using the service and cancel.
16. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Bulgaria, and disputes belong to the courts of Sofia, Bulgaria. If you are a consumer in the EU, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules and courts of your country of residence, and you may use the EU online dispute resolution platform.
17. General
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, such as outages of infrastructure providers, natural disasters, or acts of authorities. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. These terms and the privacy policy are the entire agreement between us about Plainhub. We may assign this agreement as part of a merger or sale; you may not assign it without our consent.
18. Contact
Questions about these terms can be sent to support (at) plainhub.app.
